Happy New Year Everyone!

I'm so excited for 2009 cause The Support Your Local Library Challenge is underway!  We even have some books waiting for us at the library!  I encourage you to join in or follow along.  You can see our commitment here and here.  Not realizing that in doing so on both blogs, I've committed to 50 books...  With all of the children's stories, I'm sure that won't be hard to attain.  So in keeping with my Goals for 2009, I'll say at least 15 of those will be "for me".

I'll be "reviewing" each of them here.  Maybe by the end of the year or challenge, I'll learn how to do a proper review.  lol

One of my mini goals in life is to inspire my children to have a passion and love for reading and learning. That will not change moving forward, however, I'm adding an additional subject matter. It fits right in actually. For sometime, I've been researching the ins/outs/ howtos of homeschooling. By definition, to homeschool , homeschooler or homeschooling simply states to educate one's children at home instead of sending them to school . Children's Classics - Christmas

It's that time for the Children's Classics carnival over at 5 Minutes for Books .  This month's theme is about Christmas or the December Holiday you celebrate with your family and the books you share with your children.  Follow along or join in, either way it's tons of fun! As a child, we didn't read many books at home.  Actually, I don't remember any until I was old enough to check them out myself at the school library.  Instead, over Christmas, we watched the much loved programs like Frosty the Snowman , Rudolph the Red Nose Reindeer , Santa Claus is Coming to Town and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. I still love to watch these programs and am sharing them with my children although they don't seem to be very interested. Unfortunately at the time of this posting How the Grinch Stole Christmas still hasn't been made available, so hopefully we'll get it before Christmas for me to share with the little ones .  If not, we'll get next year.  Until t...
